How do I know who my CCR&R is?
R&Rs serve specific towns according to the District Office catchment areas. Our services are designated to providers in those towns. You can use the CCR&R by Town chart to determine which CCR&R provides services to your area and then look up the CCR&R Contact Information.
Can I attend trainings that are offered in a different catchment area from where I work?
Absolutely! We understand that people often live in one area and work in another. Or perhaps you see something of interest in another area and are willing to travel. Each R&R is delighted to have participants from multiple areas. Please call the sponsoring R&R to register and follow their registration guidelines. You can also register online for workshops around the state on the Find a Training page of this website.
How do I find out about free trainings and workshops?
Each R&R sends out a quarterly newsletter with a calendar or list of upcoming trainings. If you are a licensed provider, you should be receiving these newsletters. If you work at a center, ask your Director to see the latest newsletter. You can also check out the trainings across the state on the Find a Training page of this website.
What if I sign up for a training and later find out I’m unable to attend?
Please call the sponsoring R&R and let them know you won’t be attending. Registration is limited and we may be able to fill your spot with someone on the waitlist. We do plan for the number of registered participants, so if you can’t attend and you let us know, we can plan wisely for refreshments and materials.
How do I get on the mailing list to receive newsletters, emails and other information from the CCR&Rs?
Simply contact your R&R and ask to be put on their mailing or email list. You can also add your contact information and request to be put on the mailing list when you sign in at a training.
What do I do if I’m a Licensed-Exempt provider, but want to be on the R&R database for referrals to families?
Contact your R&R as each agency has its own policies and procedures for being on their database for referrals.
I am a License-Exempt provider and am already on the R&R database, but I’m not showing up on the website referrals. Why not?
As a LE provider, your information is not public information and cannot be released without your signed permission. If you are already on the database and would like to receive referrals, please contact your R&R or print and sign the Website Referral Release and return it to your local R&R.
What should I do if I am interested in becoming a licensed family child care provider or opening a licensed program?
You can contact your R&R for information on child care in your town to help determine the need for child care. Your CCR&R can discuss various considerations with you. Your R&R can also let you know how they can be of assistance to you during the licensing process.
Contact the Bureau of Child Care Licensing (BCCL) for a licensing packet. This cost of this packet is $15. The packet includes a copy of the licensing regulations as well as all of the forms you will need for licensing. You can also download many of the licensing forms from the DHHS website, however some forms are Non Carbon Reproducible (NCR) and must be ordered directly from BCCL. |
What should I do if I’m interested in becoming accredited?
New Hampshire has center-based programs that are accredited by NAEYC, family child care programs that are accredited by NAFCC and a school-age program that is accredited by NAA.
Contact your CCR&R agency for information on and technical assistance in the accreditation process. We can give you information on funding available to assist you with accreditation and put you in touch with a program that has been through accreditation for additional information and support. |
What should I do if I’m interested in finding our more about the NH Early Childhood credential and how to obtain one?
Your R&R can send you a book on the New Hampshire Early Childhood Professional Development System which includes information on the career lattice and the application for the credential. Your CCR&R can provide individual assistance with your credential application as well as workshops for staff at your center or other providers in your area.
