Making a Choice for Child Care

Choosing a child care provider that meets the needs of both parent and child can be a daunting task. Families most certainly ask,

  • “Is this a safe and healthy place for my child?”
  • “What is quality care anyway?”

Information on this website and contact with your local Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency can assist families through the process of choosing an appropriate child care provider. You can search for care or you can contact us directly for a referral. During the referral call, we can provide you with a list of providers suited to your needs and preferences for care as well as counseling and resources to aid you in your decision making.

We do not license, regulate, rate or endorse programs or providers. We do recognize that choosing care is a very individualized decision. Our role is to provide you with the information to make an informed decision. The documents in the Referral Packet below should be helpful in your search for quality child care.

Once your decision for child care is made, you may still have questions or concerns regarding your child’s development or appropriateness of care. Your resource and referral specialist can provide consultation or referrals to other available resources to meet your or your child’s needs.
